The Goldstream Water Treatment Plant uses advanced UV and chemical disinfection technologies to provide safe drinking water to approximately 365,000 residents in Victoria, Saanich, Oak Bay, Esquimalt, Central Saanich, North Saanich, Sidney, Highlands, Colwood, Langford, and Metchosin.
As part of this critical infrastructure upgrade, our team completed the replacement of UV streams and UV PLCs to enhance system reliability and performance. We also installed new instrumentation to improve monitoring and control capabilities. Additionally, we relocated existing I/O modules into new PLCs, ensuring seamless integration and modernization of the system’s control architecture.
The project included extensive testing and commissioning to validate the functionality and efficiency of all installed components, guaranteeing that the updated system meets the highest standards for safety and performance. These upgrades are vital in maintaining the quality and reliability of the water supply for the community.
